It just might be time for a new, not 5 year used+from other used car, battery to make an apperance.
Requires some massaging and fiddling with brackets since these Fords come from the factory with flat battery posts(yay 90's).
As a bonus, the battery cover fits even better now!

I don’t remember where the battery came from, but I put one in my Accord years ago that wasn’t big enough, but a small piece of 2x4 was the exact right size to make it snug. I remember years later when I finally replaced it, thinking, “What the f**k is this 2x4 doing in here? Oh yeah....” but by then it was the same color as everything else in the engine bay, so it didn’t look out of place, quite.

When I changed my battery the starter motor actually went up in pitch, that’s how weak the old one had gotten.
